Effective Calaveras County Tourism and Destination Marketing Means Business

The Mission of the Murphys Economic Development Alliance is to create, maintain and sustain viable and manageable common goals for the protection, public safety and growth of the retail business districts and surrounding residential communities and areas along the Route 4 Ebbetts Pass corridor from Copperopolis, Murphys, Angels Camp, Avery, Arnold, Dorrington, Camp Connell, Tamarack and extending to Bear Valley.

The Murphys Economic Development Alliance endeavors to develop and provide strategic marketing communication services that: 

1. Create a set of standards and methods of business practices, services and educational programs for Alliance collaborators.
2. Educate the traveling public on the benefits of visiting, relocating to, and doing business within the Route 4 Ebbetts Pass corridor and surrounding areas.
3. Improve and enhance the image and infrastructure of our commercial business and residential community districts. 
4. Create beneficial services for Alliance collaborators, such as the execution and implementation of digital marketing efforts in the form of website, social media, direct email, public relations, community infrastructure betterment and improvements, philanthropic endeavors, and other service opportunities in support of local businesses, residential communities and tourism.
5. Adopt and adhere to business practices expressing a common statement of goals for the promotion of manageable and successful tourism growth and public safety of business allies.
6. Act as liaison with local business bureaus and government agencies on behalf of Alliance collaborators; a primary purpose being to create sustainable economic development relationships.
7. Establish and manage philanthropic support and fundraising contributions for community charities.
8. Generate support for the development and promotion of innovative, well-managed and effectively marketed and monetized family-oriented community events, festivals, attractions and experiences promoting and amplifying the region’s history and lifestyle.
